Research Study For Artwork Prior To Construction Traditionally, health care project teams recruit art consultants during the design and construction phases of new construction. With evidence-based design (EBD) projects, art consultants are best utilized when added to the project team during project planning and design. In the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center at Dallas new construction project, Healthcare Art Consulting was selected as the art consultant in 2008 even though first phases of construction will not be completed until early 2011.In early 2009, executive leadership at Baylor Health Care System agreed with Healthcare Art Consulting to conduct a focus group study to determine the preferred artwork of patients, staff and community members who will utilize the new facilities.
