Hospital and Health Care System Recognize Employee Service
Client Need: Updated visual recognition system to display monthly and quarterly award recipients
Within the past year, Baylor Health Care System created a system wide recognition program to reward for monthly and quarterly outstanding performance. Monthly Service Excellence recipients receive a $100.00 gift card and Quarterly Service Excellence recipients receive a $2,500.00 gift card from Baylor Health Care System.
Additionally, Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie created a Partner of the Month award for peers to nominate peers each month for recognition. Recipients receive a traveling trophy with their name added to the award recipient list, a banner on display in their department, a reward party for department such as lunch or cookies, and a $100.00 gift card.
Due to the significance of these awards and other awards, such as the 5 Star Spirit Award or Great 100 Nurses achievement, Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie wanted all employees, patients, and facility visitors to know they are proud of their employees' performance.
Solution: Executive Recognition Wall to recognize award recipients, executive leadership and hospital board members
Healthcare Art Consulting created a photo system so that award recipients are professionally photographed each month, quarter or year, a framed photograph is presented to the employee and a copy of the photograph is posted to the Employee Recognition Wall. Healthcare Art Consulting also cleans and dusts the Employee Recognition Wall each month so the visual recognition wall is in pristine condition.
What are the comments thus far?
Employees have commented that they love getting dressed up for their professional photo shoot. Many employees have stated their interest in being displayed on the new recognition wall.
