Friends of longtime Dallas resident and former Transwestern employee Tommy Van Zandt came together on June 11, 2009 to raise support for Tommy's longtime recovery and rehabilitation from a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed. At this time, Tommy faces a long road to full recovery and will under go rehabilitation in Denver, CO in order to overcome his injuries and physical disabilities.

In support of the Van Zandt family, Matt Kowalewski Director of Business Development at Healthcare Art Consulting contributed artwork donations for the silent auction at Tommy's Nite Out. End of the event auction donations exceeded $10,000 for oil paintings by local Dallas artist Rick Timmons and gift certificates to local Dallas restaurants. Total contributions for the evening including in-kind donations by individual event sponsors exceeded $250,000.

At the end of the evening, Matt Kowalewski stated that "It feels good to know that our small contribution can have an impact on the Van Zandt family. I wish Tommy the best in the coming months and will keep his family in my thoughts."
